Big coffee on the future of industry. Robots and artificial intelligence enter a new era

As a leading force in the future of manufacturing, robots are once again at the forefront of innovation. From December 20th to 23rd, the 3rd China (Hangzhou) International Robot West Lake Forum took place in Hangzhou, organized by the China Artificial Intelligence Society, Zhejiang University, and other notable institutions. This annual event has become a key platform for robotics technology and industrial development, fostering strong ties between Zhejiang’s robotics industry and global clusters.

This year’s forum, themed “Robots and Smart Ages,” focused on the latest trends in robotics, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing. Industry leaders, researchers, and entrepreneurs from around the world gathered to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities in this rapidly evolving field. With over a thousand participants, the event highlighted the growing importance of robotics in shaping the future of industries across the globe.

Experts like Li Deyi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Xu Yangsheng, Vice President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, emphasized the need for collaboration and innovation. They discussed how Zhejiang can transition from being a major consumer of robots to a leader in the industry, leveraging its strong industrial base and forward-thinking policies.

With the “Belt and Road” initiative opening new doors for international cooperation, Zhejiang is well-positioned to strengthen ties with global robotics hubs. At the International Robot Industry Development Cooperation Forum, agreements were signed between Zhejiang and South Korean organizations, aiming to establish a Robotics Center in Hangzhou. This partnership will enhance technological exchange, promote joint research, and create new opportunities for both regions.

The event also featured an impressive robot exhibition at the newly opened Zhejiang Robot Exhibition Center in Xiaoshan Robot Town. Visitors had the chance to see cutting-edge technologies, including robotic fish, aircraft simulators, and AI-powered robots. These exhibits showcased not only the technical achievements but also the potential of robotics to transform daily life and industries.

As the robotics industry continues to evolve, events like the West Lake Forum play a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and inspiring the next generation of engineers and researchers. With a strong foundation and a vision for the future, Zhejiang is set to lead the way in the global robotics revolution.
