Due to the promotion of energy-saving and environmentally-friendly LED lighting by the Chinese government, the implementation of the ten-city plan, the evaluation projects of LED street lamps have been carried out successively, and the LED streetlight projects in Shenzhen and Shanghai have also paid great attention to light color detection. .

At present, for the entire LED lamp or LED light bulb with large light-emitting area, the detection of luminosity and chromaticity is completely different from that of single LED. LED lamps (such as LED street lamps and LED tubes) have larger area and strong directionality. In the lighting environment, we are more concerned about the illumination, uniformity, brightness of the lamp or lamp, the temperature and color changes of the lamp after lighting and the influence of the lamp on the human eye. Therefore, the illuminometer is measured with a illuminometer or a brightness meter. Chromaticity and luminosity are commonly used methods.

Compared with traditional lighting fixtures, the differences in the luminous characteristics of LED lamps are mainly as follows:

1) The LED panel consists of many single LEDs. Different consistency between different particles may lead to differences in brightness and color temperature.

2) Even a single LED of the same batch will produce chromaticity and main wavelength drift, resulting in uneven chromaticity and illuminance of the overall luminaire;

3) LED illumination has a strong directionality. Generally, LED illumination is bright in the middle and dark on both sides; the optical design of the luminaire is crucial;

4) After the LED lamp is lit, the color and brightness will change with the increase of temperature, so with the passage of time, the LED lamp will have color temperature shift, brightness and color temperature unevenness.

In the laboratory, measurements can usually be made with an integrating sphere or a distributed photometer, but this is not a substitute for field measurements after the fixture is installed in the field. On-site field measurements require a compact, portable, and accurate measurement of illuminance, brightness, and color temperature.
