During the period from 2012 to 2013, TCL developed a power circuit board called PE061C3 for its 26-inch and 32-inch LED LCD TVs. This power supply board was designed to provide two sets of output voltages: 3.3V at 0.2A and 24V at 2.1A. The main power supply section utilized Fairchild's PWM control chip, FAN6754A, which integrated a green-mode PWM controller to improve the efficiency of the flyback power converter. In order to minimize standby power consumption, the green mode feature implemented off-time modulation, reducing the switching frequency under light load conditions and linearly decreasing the fixed PWM frequency of 65kHz down to 22kHz. The standby power circuit employed a DC-DC converter board to directly transform the 12V voltage from the main power supply into 3.3V, providing power to the motherboard.

As part of the design process, several components were carefully selected to ensure optimal performance and reliability. For instance, the MOS Power IC provided a full range of functionality, while the SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitors ensured long-term stability. Additionally, the industrial router crystal with dimensions 3.2×2.5mm and a frequency of 26MHz played a crucial role in maintaining precise timing signals, and the inductance components helped manage the flow of electrical current efficiently.
Overall, the integration of these advanced technologies allowed the PE061C3 power circuit board to deliver efficient and reliable power management solutions for TCL’s LED LCD TV models during that time.
