Vishay will showcase the latest industry-leading technologies and products for automotive and other electronics at the 2016 Messe

MALVERN, PA — March 4, 2016 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced that it will participate in the 2016 Shanghai Shanghai Electronics Show (March 15-17, Shanghai New International Expo Center). At Booth 3502 in Hall E3, Vishay will showcase its industry-leading innovations, including passive components, diodes, power MOSFETs and optoelectronics, to provide greater efficiency and reliability for automotive and other applications.

At the 2016 Shanghai Electronics Show in Munich, Vishay's automotive product demonstrations included motor drives for the 48V grid and full LED headlight illumination systems, as well as the Vishay Semiconductors TCUT1600X01 transmissive optical sensor for infotainment applications.

Vishay Siliconix will showcase a variety of MOSFETs in space-saving PowerPAIR®, MICRO FOOT® and PowerPAK® 8x8L packages, including high-junction E-series MOSFETs based on super-junction technology to help achieve efficient AC/DC conversion, and for motors Drive, electric power steering, gearbox control and injector driven AEC-Q101 certified SQ Rugged series MOSFETs. Also on display are 400V - 600V D-series devices; TrenchFET® fourth-generation N-channel MOSFETs with low on-resistance & TImes; gate charge figure of merit (FOM); and P-channel with low on-resistance in the industry Device.

Vishay Siliconix will also demonstrate the high efficiency and high power density of its 80V - 100V ThunderFET® MOSFETs in isolated bus converter stages; the best electrical and thermal performance of its PowerPAIR TrenchFET fourth generation solution at the point-of-load power stage; And its vehicle Trench MOSFET can withstand repeated avalanche testing.

Vishay Semiconductors will showcase a variety of ultra-thin packaged diodes for high frequency inverters, switching power supplies, DC/DC converters and polarity protection applications, including TMBS® Trench MOS barrier Schottky rectifiers with ESD capability Standard rectifiers and FRED Pt® ultrafast recovery rectifiers in SMPD (TO-263AC) package, SMPC (TO-277A) package, SlimSMA (DO-221AC) package, SMF (DO-219AB) package. In addition, Vishay will also show Trench IGBTs designed to increase efficiency and IGBT power modules in EMIPAK-1B and EMIPAK-2B packages.

Optoelectronic solutions from Vishay Semiconductors include SMD's ultra-thin 2.5 A IGBT and MOSFET drivers; and wide-body high-speed optocouplers with external creepage distances greater than 10 mm. Vishay will demonstrate its VCNL4020X01 automotive-grade integrated proximity and ambient light sensor; the VEML6030X01 ambient light sensor; and a gesture-controlled VCNL4020 sensor demonstration with two VSMF2890RGX01 infrared emitters.

The passive components exhibited by Vishay include its wide range of the latest capacitors, resistors and inductors. Resistor products include high-power (to 7W) Vishay Dale Power Metal Strip® resistors for engines, gearboxes, audio electronics and air conditioners; and Power Metal Strip battery current-sense resistors for battery management applications. Vishay Beyschlag film chip resistors and arrays with excellent moisture resistance and Vishay Dale film resistor network with resistance tolerances as low as ± 0.05 %; Vishay Sfernice thick film resistors up to 1100 W; high stability Vishay BCcomponents NTC thermistor; and Vishay Milwaukee high power high current gate resistor. Vishay will also demonstrate its Vishay Beyschlag automotive grade film MELF resistor.

Vishay Dale will be on display for engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drives, entertainment and navigation systems, motor noise suppression, windshield wipers, HID and LED lighting, heating and ventilation fans, and power seats and mirrors IHLP® ultra-thin high current device. Also on display are IHLD dual inductors for Class D amplifier circuits, and IHTH via inductors for motor control systems and line filters. Vishay will also demonstrate its IHLE inductor with integrated electric field shielding.

The capacitors on display include Vishay Sprague solid surface mount chip capacitors with low ESR to 0.100 Ω in five form factors. Vishay Roederstein metallized polypropylene film capacitor for high performance DC filtering, Vishay BCcomponents high temperature aluminum capacitors for powertrain systems, long life (up to 6,000 hours). Vishay Vitramon surface mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCC), with dimensions from 0402 to 1812, are used for stencil management, power steering and active safety controls. Vishay ESTA power capacitors for high pulse current ratings up to 10 kA.
