Argentina to use South America's first solar power station

A solar power station in the province of San Juan, western Argentina, was recently launched. This is the first solar power station to be officially operational in the South American region.

This solar power plant is an important project of the Argentine government to implement a clean energy development plan. The total investment of the power station is 10 million U.S. dollars (about 65 million yuan), which is designed and built by the Spanish company Komsa Emmet. The power station solar panels use three different materials: monocrystalline silicon, polysilicon, and amorphous silicon.

The plant has a maximum output of 1.2 MW. The power station is connected to the grid in San Juan Province, Argentina, and can meet the daily electricity needs of 1,500 families.

Argentina is one of the countries that have developed the most clean energy in South America.
