The design of the drying oven can be either desktop or vertical. In a desktop structure, the main body and sub-body are arranged on the left and right, with the air duct located at the back. This setup allows for horizontal air convection within the working chamber. On the other hand, a vertical structure places the main body and sub-body one above the other, enabling vertical air circulation inside the chamber. When selecting the size of the drying oven, it’s important to consider the dimensions and quantity of the test items. The number and placement of samples in the chamber can significantly impact temperature uniformity. For applications requiring high temperature consistency, it is advisable to reduce the number of samples or choose a larger drying oven to ensure better hot air circulation. Additionally, keeping the samples at least 2–3 cm away from the inner walls or air inlet and outlet helps promote more even airflow and efficient heat distribution. There are three common temperature ranges available for blast drying ovens: RT+10°C to 250°C, RT+10°C to 300°C, and 100°C to 400°C (for high-temperature models). If the required temperature is below 150°C, a model with the RT+10°C to 250°C range is suitable. For temperatures between 150°C and 290°C, the RT+10°C to 300°C range is recommended. When operating between 260°C and 290°C, it's advised to include an overheat protection device for the motor and thermal protection to prevent damage. For temperatures above 300°C, a high-temperature blast drying oven with a 100°C to 400°C range should be used. Typically, the normal heating rate of a drying oven is around 3–5°C per minute. However, this can vary depending on the ambient conditions—faster at lower temperatures, slower at higher temperatures, and quicker in summer compared to winter. While increasing the heating rate can speed up the process, it may also lead to greater temperature overshoot during the constant temperature phase. Therefore, it's essential to balance heating speed with stability based on the specific application requirements.
