According to industry sources, due to the shortage of solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors, their prices will continue to rise. In response to increasing demand, suppliers including ApaqTechnology and TeapoElectronic have revealed plans to protect the production capacity of solid-state capacitors by the end of 2010 .
Apaq is a subsidiary of passive component manufacturer Inpaq . The company plans to expand the capacity of solid-state capacitors from the current 50 million units to 100 million units by the end of 2010 .
Teapo said earlier that the planned in the fourth quarter of 2010, its solid capacitor capacity expansion to 12 million units per month, when in June 2011 to expand to 37 million units per month, more step to the end of 2011 when Expansion to 80 million units.
According to sources, other manufacturers ( including Lilong Electronics and Taiwan Jinshan Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. ) have also established a capacity expansion plan for solid capacitors.
