Inverter 430 alarm fault code F0002 problem? -Solutions - Huaqiang Electronic Network

A 5.5KW inverter is used to control a 5.5KW booster pump. We have set up the system very carefully, and it runs continuously for about 15 days before the fault code F0002 appears. After that, we disconnect the circuit breaker in front of the inverter and restart it. Once powered back on, everything returns to normal. What could be causing this issue? Also, what is the appropriate ramp-down time that should match the inertia of the load?

1. F0002 indicates an overvoltage fault.

Possible causes of the fault: - The DC link voltage exceeds the trip threshold. - Overvoltage may occur due to a high power supply voltage or when the motor is in regenerative braking mode. - The ramp-down speed is too fast, or the motor is being driven by a large inertia load, causing it to enter a regenerative braking state.

3. General troubleshooting steps: - Check the motor’s power cable and grounding for any broken connections or improper grounding. - Increase the values of the ramp parameters P1120 and P1121 in the inverter settings. - Confirm whether a brake resistor is installed. If not, make sure parameter P1240 is set to 1. If a brake resistor is installed, set P1240 to 0.

4. In general, inverters are more likely to report under-voltage faults when frequency increases, and over-voltage faults when frequency decreases. Overvoltage issues often occur during deceleration or braking. If the inverter's power supply voltage is too high, it can also trigger the F0002 fault.
