NVIDIA Graphics Accumulate 1 Billion Shipments NVIDIA and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced today that the cumulative shipments of the former design and the GeForce GPU graphics chips manufactured by the latter have exceeded one billion marks.

In August 1999, NVIDIA released GeForce 256, the groundbreaking product in the field of graphics chips. It also proposes a new GPU concept. Since then, after nearly twelve years of development, spanning five DirectX eras (DX7-11), GeForce has finally ushered in this milestone historic moment, with an average of more than 240,000 shipments per day and more than 10,000 per hour.

NVIDIA Chief Executive Huang Renxun said: “Since the invention of GPU more than a decade ago, NVIDIA has driven the innovation of these processors at an unmatched speed in the technology industry. Thanks to the cooperative relationship with TSMC, the complexity of these devices has increased by more than 1,000 times. TSMC CEO and Chairman Zhang Zhongmou also did not praise the words of praise: "NVIDIA's achievements have effectively proved the close cooperation between foundry and non-factory companies to the consumer electronics industry, the semiconductor industry and the benefits of both companies' shareholders.
