TDK launches new miniature EPCOS MEMS pressure sensor

The TDK Group is proud to introduce the latest innovation in pressure sensing technology: the EPCOS MEMS pressure sensor from the C33 series. This automotive-grade sensor boasts an ultra-compact size of just 1 mm x 1 mm x 0.4 mm, making it the smallest in its class. It offers an absolute pressure measurement range of 1.2 bar to 10 bar and is AEC-Q101 certified, ensuring reliability for demanding automotive environments. The sensor typically operates at 3V, but when powered with 5V, it delivers a sensitivity ranging from 15 mV/bar to 80 mV/bar, depending on the model. Its wide operating temperature range spans from -40°C to +135°C, with the ability to withstand short-term exposure up to 140°C. Additionally, the C33 series provides excellent long-term stability, with an accuracy of ±0.35% FS. For consumer and IoT applications, the C39 series stands out with an even smaller package size of 0.65 mm x 0.65 mm x 0.24 mm. At just 0.24 mm in height, this ultra-thin design makes it perfect for space-constrained devices like smartphones and wearables. The C39 also measures absolute pressure up to 1.2 bar and shares the same impressive long-term stability as the C33 series, with an error margin of only ±0.35% FS.
