After the Idaho Act came into force, the ground delivery robot can carry out the delivery work without the need for a dedicated person, which means that the entire delivery process can be fully automated.
However, the company still needs to provide remote monitoring personnel for the delivery robots. Once the delivery robot is in trouble, they need to help quickly.
At the same time, the bill also stipulates that the delivery robot must not exceed 10 mph (about 16 km / h).
Similar to the Virginia Act, Idaho also gives options to subordinate towns, and governments at all levels can limit the area and speed of delivery robots based on actual conditions.
Although Starship is the main driver of the bill, it is still unknown whether the company is ready to enter the US market. In addition to Virginia and Idaho, Wisconsin and Florida are also discussing the bill.
