ADI launches AD9675 low-cost eight-channel ultrasonic receiver (AFE)

ADI's AD9675 eight-channel ultrasonic analog front end (AFE) reduces system processing burden while reducing I / O data routing and simplifying design

Beijing, China—Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI), a leading global provider of high-performance signal processing solutions, recently introduced the AD9675 8-channel ultrasonic analog front end (AFE), which has an on-chip RF extractor and JESD204B Serial interface, designed for high-end portable and hand-push medical and industrial ultrasound systems. The device integrates an eight-channel low-noise amplifier, variable gain amplifier, anti-aliasing filter, and 14-bit analog-to-digital converter with the industry's highest sampling rate (125 MSPS) and the best signal-to-noise ratio (75 dB SNR ) Performance, better ultrasound imaging quality. The on-chip RF decimator allows the ADC to oversample, providing enhanced SNR while maintaining low data I / O rates to achieve better picture quality. Compared with other data interface standards, the 5 Gbps JESD204B serial interface can reduce the I / O data routing of the ultrasound system by as much as 80%. This feature simplifies the design of ultrasound circuit boards, while better meeting the industry's requirements for higher data rates, more channels, and higher image resolution. The second model AD9674 has the same basic functions, but uses a standard LVDS interface. AD9675 and AD9674 are the latest products in ADI's award-winning eight-channel ultrasound receiver product portfolio.

The AD9675 and AD9674 are available in a space-saving 144-pin, 10 mm x 10 mm BGA package and are pin compatible with the AD9670 / AD9671, allowing designs that require cost reduction and limited digital functions to be easily upgraded.
