Windows 10 introduced the Windows Ink feature with the Anniversary Update, offering a touchscreen interface that allows users to input content or draw using a stylus or their finger. For example, if you're playing a fast-paced game and accidentally hit Ctrl+W or Alt+W, Windows 10 might bring up the Ink workspace, causing the game to minimize or freeze — which is definitely frustrating during intense gameplay.

If you want to fully disable the Windows Ink feature to avoid any interruptions while gaming, you can block the Win key at the system level. To do this, press Win+R, type "regedit," and open the Registry Editor. Navigate to:

Create a new folder named "WindowsInkWorkspace" under the Microsoft key. Then, right-click on the right side of the window, select "New" > "DWORD (32-bit) Value," and name it "AllowWindowsInkWorkspace." Set its value to 0 to disable the feature.

However, before making these changes, make sure to remove the "Show Windows Ink Workspace" button from the taskbar. Otherwise, the setting might not take effect, and the button could still appear in your system tray. You can do this by right-clicking the taskbar, selecting "Taskbar Settings," and unchecking the option for the Windows Ink Workspace.
