Apple's "Homekit" platform was released in 2014. In addition to the scattered gadgets, plugs, air detectors and other gadgets, there has been no major movement. But the facts are not as simple as imagined. At that time, there was no indication that Apple would build an integrated app. But this year, Homekit not only changed its name to become Home, but also built it on iOS10. Senior industry insiders told smart things that the change of name means that Apple's perception of Home has changed. From the earliest industry standards, allowing merchants to access the current super app, forming a closed control mode. Closed control mode needs to be connected with the manufacturer, and the industry generally believes that this is the node where Apple is landing.

These products do not directly adapt to Homekit, but require additional apps to use the Siri and remote controls of Apple devices. It seems that there is still a big gap from the 100 products that Cook has guaranteed at the end of the year. It stands to reason that Apple should first cultivate the US market, so what about the foreign online situation?
Unsurprisingly, the US online products are more than ours. After the conference, Apple's official website listed a complete list of product adaptations on Homekit. There are more than 60 products produced by 18 companies, including air conditioners that Haier announced in March last year to cooperate with Homekit. These products can be purchased in 30 foreign Apple's official website, others can be purchased in the US Amazon, and only 18 domestic brands can buy.
But what's embarrassing is that among the 18 companies, 7 are smart sockets and 4 thermostats. The rest are special "grounding gas" products such as electric fans, door locks and light bulbs.
