New LG OLED Release: A Cross-Border Innovation of Art Inspiration and Technology Creation

On January 12, 2018, LG Electronics unveiled its latest OLED commercial display products at an event titled “Ling Chong’s Rewards – Designers’ Night” held at the artistic C9 MEE PARK in Beijing’s 798 Art District. Hosted by LG and organized by KTV, the event brought together numerous industry designers to explore the future of design through cutting-edge technology. The launch highlighted LG’s innovative OLED displays, showcasing their ultra-thin designs, flexible splicing capabilities, and stunning visual performance, marking the dawn of a new era for flexible OLED commercial displays in the design sector. At the press conference, Wang Gang, Director of Commercial Display Sales at LG Electronics, and Zhao Gengfei, Chairman of Ke Film & Television (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd., delivered inspiring speeches. Wang Xu, LG’s Commercial Display Technology Manager, and Gong Xiuquan, Product Director at KTV, provided detailed insights into the new product lineup and development strategies. Renowned Korean designer Huang Zhenyuan also shared valuable perspectives on LG OLED product design concepts and real-world applications. The event featured a range of impressive OLED displays, including a striking seven-screen curved setup made up of seven 55-inch 55EF5C units. This flexible and creative configuration captured the attention of attendees with its unique design and vivid color reproduction. It can be tailored to suit various environments, making it ideal for high-end commercial spaces, art venues, and museums. Another highlight was a wavy screen composed of three 65-inch dual-sided curved screens (65EE5PC). Its ultra-thin design and exceptional OLED performance created a truly artistic display, perfect for airports, luxury shopping centers, and exhibition halls where space efficiency is crucial. In addition to these, the event showcased three other OLED commercial displays: the 55-inch glass-integrated 55EG5CD, displayed in a suspended manner; the 55-inch dual-plane display 55EH5C, installed floor-to-floor; and the 55-inch wallpaper-style 55EJ5D, which looked like a decorative wall panel. These varied installation options demonstrated the flexibility and adaptability of LG’s OLED technology. An 86-inch LCD wide bar display with a 32:9 aspect ratio was also presented, offering an immersive viewing experience. Its versatility allowed for individual use or multi-splice configurations, creating dynamic and unexpected display environments. LG’s OLED technology, with its self-luminous properties, offers a simpler structure, thinner design, and more diverse installation options. Combined with its ultra-wide viewing angle, infinite contrast, and deep blacks, it ensures accurate and stable color reproduction, breaking traditional design limitations. During the event, KTV was officially appointed as the general distributor of LG OLED displays in Greater China. As a leader in creative design and digital display solutions, KTV’s collaboration with LG marks a strategic partnership that promises to drive innovation in public space design and commercial display applications. This launch not only represents a strong alliance between LG and KTV but also sets a new standard for collaborative success in the industry. With their combined strengths, they are set to redefine the future of OLED applications in the design world and unlock new opportunities for commercial growth.
