Fairchild's new Smart Power Module ( SPM ) integrates critical power management silicon components to save board space and heat sink size, resulting in a compact, all-in-one solution for high voltage design requirements up to 7.5kW. Fairchild uses Direct Bonding Copper, originally designed for space applications, which achieves a 15% lower thermal resistance than the rival solution. Simultaneously. In industrial-grade heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, as well as pump and factory automation systems, Fairchild has improved overall system reliability for smoother motor control.
