VR said this week: Vive Focus starts at 3999 yuan and updates Pokemon GO's dynamic weather.

HTC Vive Focus One goes on pre-sale at 3,999 yuan. In November this year, HTC partnered with Qualcomm to launch the Vive Focus MFP, primarily targeting the Chinese market. Now, HTC has officially announced the release date and pricing for the Vive Focus One, starting at 3,999 yuan. The standard model will be available at 0:00 on December 12 through Vive.com, JD.com, Tmall, Gome, and Suning, with a pre-sale period leading up to its official shipment in January 2018. The electric eye blue limited edition is priced at 4,299 yuan. On the hardware side, the HTC Vive Focus features an ultra-high-definition AMOLED display (3K resolution, 75Hz), a 110° field of view, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile VR platform. It supports 6-DOF tracking technology, includes an adjustable interpupillary distance, allows for up to 2TB memory card expansion, and comes with built-in speakers. This makes it a highly capable standalone VR headset for immersive experiences. Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 845 mobile platform has been officially unveiled, offering an even cooler VR experience. The 845 features a new Kryo CPU architecture (Kryo 385) and the Adreno 630 GPU. Compared to the 835, the 845 offers a 30% increase in graphics processing speed and 30% better energy efficiency, significantly extending battery life. It also integrates the Spectra 280 ISP and a more powerful Hexagon DSP, enhancing machine learning and AI performance. The Adreno 630 visual processing subsystem brings a 30% improvement in image/video rendering and a 30% reduction in power consumption. It supports room-scale 6DoF, SLAM, eye tracking, and multiview rendering. The 845 also improves display interface data throughput by 2.5x and enhances 6DoF, gesture tracking, and controller support. Researchers at the University of Arizona are developing a prototype system that places AR items behind real objects. Led by Professor Hong Hua, who previously consulted for Magic Leap, the system uses a spatial light modulator to create a mask that allows virtual objects to block real-world pixels. This could lead to more realistic AR experiences. Pokémon GO has received a major update, adding 50 new Pokémon and introducing dynamic weather effects based on real-world conditions. For example, Lotad may appear during rain, and Pokémon caught in bad weather may offer higher rewards. This adds a new layer of strategy and immersion to the game. Samsung Xuanlong MR has officially launched, priced at 4,499 yuan. It features a 3.5-inch dual AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440×1600, a 110° wide viewing angle, and a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. It also includes AKG headphones with 360-degree spatial audio and a built-in microphone array for voice commands and social interaction. Oculus Rift Core 2.0 beta has been released, bringing significant improvements to the user interface. The update includes a "virtual dashboard" called Oculus Dash, a customizable "home" space, and the Oculus Desktop feature, which lets users access Windows apps inside VR. This marks one of the most substantial updates to the Oculus Rift since the launch of the Oculus Touch. Var v_productid="1036882";

Oblique Single Axis Solar Tracker System

Each battery array has an independent axis of rotation ontrolled by a solar tracking device, ensuring that the photovoltaic modules are parallel to the sunlight in the vertical plane.  The inclined single axis bracket can increase power generation by 25% -35%.
