Recently, the European Commission's Non-Food Rapid Alert System (RAPEX) notified the quality of the two domestic LED floodlights. The two notified countries were Latvia.
The first product to be notified was a ProLight brand LED floodlight made in China. The reported product power is 7 watts, grade is IP65, product model is POT0017, product code is 2770030091542, in the OECD industry. The OECD Portal Category is 78000000 (electrical).
The second product to be notified is a Smile Light brand LED floodlight made in China. The notified product has a power of 10 watts and the grade is IP65. The product model is SLL10-FLD-840S, and the product code is 4752075003702. The OECD Portal Category is 78 million (electrical appliances).
The reason for the recall of the two products is that the cable fixings of the luminaire are not secure and the components can be loosened. When the touch can touch live parts, the user may receive an electric shock. This product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN60598.
At present, the EU has taken mandatory measures to withdraw from the market and recall the above products.
