Selection and requirements for lighting fixtures for industrial lighting

The design of the workshop makes the lighting design relatively easy, but on the other hand, the special requirements of the clumsy machine also create obstacles to the lighting design. A well-designed lighting solution can increase production, reduce accidents, save production losses, and help workers improve their fitness.

Lighting scheme
There are three lighting systems for factory interior lighting: general lighting, small area lighting, and partial lighting. Only conventional lighting and local lighting can exist independently, and small-area lighting is an auxiliary system that complements the main body lighting when needed.
Conventional lighting
Conventional illumination is designed to create a uniform illumination across the working surface of the entire illumination area, with a minimum average uniformity of 0.8 being acceptable.
Depending on the installation height of the luminaire, straight tube fluorescent lamps, high pressure sodium lamps, high pressure mercury lamps and metal halide lamps can be selected as the light source.
Lighting level
Visually unrequired work - 200 to 300 lux
Visually demanding lower work - 200 to 300 lux
Visually demanding higher work - 750 to 1000 lux
Mounting height is less than 4 meters: The best lighting solution is to install a factory lighting mirror on a slat or box luminaire and use a combination of fluorescent light and electronics to illuminate. The luminaire is typically mounted as a discontinuous or continuous line parallel to the viewing direction. When the lighting area requires low glare, a visor with low glare performance can be used.
Installation height between 4 and 7 meters: Fluorescent lamps can be used in the same luminaire as above, high pressure sodium lamps, high pressure mercury lamps and metal halide (HPL-N, SON or HPI) lamps, can be used with wide beam reflection Mirrored medium bracket luminaire. The latter luminaire can be used for savings at installation heights greater than 6 meters. It is possible to choose which system to use based on the uniformity of the illumination, the efficacy of the light, and the initial investment in the overall system.
The installation height is greater than 7 meters: high pressure sodium lamps, high pressure mercury lamps or metal halide lamps with a power of up to 400 W can be used in the case of very high workshops. A narrow beam reflector can be mounted on the overhead luminaire.
Partial illumination
The use of local lighting enhances worker comfort and reduces maintenance and energy consumption. Fluorescent lighting is the best choice for local lighting, with either factory-illuminated mirrors or water-resistant luminaires. The use of electronic ballasts can save energy.
Small range lighting
In some special work, the lighting level and lighting quality requirements are very strict. Regardless of the technical feasibility or economic point of view, it is not possible to meet the lighting needs with a single conventional lighting. In small-scale lighting, we often use fluorescent and halogen lamps for illumination.
According to the above lighting mix, you can basically meet your lighting needs, and can save you a lot of lighting costs.
